Save Banner Forest

Banner Forest Heritage Park is a 635-acre protected forest in Port Orchard, Washington, known for its extensive network of multi-use trails. It offers a mix of wooded areas and fragile wetlands, providing opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. The park was created in 2000 after a decade-long community effort to preserve the land from development

ROOTS FOR OUR FUTURE

Our Mission:

Save Banner Forest is dedicated to protecting and conserving Banner Forest Heritage Park through advocacy for passive management strategies that allow natural processes to restore and sustain its diverse ecosystem. We oppose aggressive thinning practices that risk invasive species proliferation, heightened fire dangers, and profit-driven exploitation, ensuring this cherished public space remains a thriving haven for recreation, biodiversity, and community enjoyment. By raising funds for legal defense, independent environmental assessments, and public education, we safeguard Banner's legacy for future generations—roots for our future.
